ADULT EDUCATION COORDINATOR
Job Goal: Oversee all aspects of the Adult Education Department with
compliance and programmatic technical assistance needed. Work closely with
administration to ensure programmatic and fiscal compliance with the Gulf Coast
Workforce Board program and the Brazos Valley COG programs. Serve is the point
of contact for all programs funded within the Adult Education Department. Works
on any assigned projects within the capacity of adult education. Works in collaboration
with TWC, HGAC and BVCOG to meet performance and production to all Adult
Education Programs.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Master’s degree in education or related field preferred or equivalent
- Texas Teacher Certification preferred or equivalent experience
- Certification in State approved assessment utilized by Adult Education and Literacy preferred
- Certified and trained in content specific for AEL as pertains to job duties
- Administrative experience preferred Experience with TWC programs
- Knowledge of Adult Education and Literacy programs: ABE, ASE, GED, ESL, Career Pathways, IET, and Academy Models
- Understanding of federal and state AEL objectives, TEAMS data, professional development requirements and various community resource networks in the GCWB area
- Strong public relations, organizational, training, presentation, and data management skills.
- Ability to develop and deliver professional development content related to all aspects of adult education to include career pathways
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal objective
- Ability to work on multiple tasks with minimum supervision
- Ability to work independently and Ability to use technology effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Effective in compiling reports and development of training materials
- Compile and formulate expenditure and financial reports and processes of all programs within the AED
- Work with the PD Specialist in HGAC to organize, schedule and plan professional development events as needed
- Maintain all internal and external required program paperwork and program documentation and submit upon requested deadlines
- Conduct required professional development and technical assistance activities as specified in grant guidelines
- Follow guidelines and reporting deadlines provided by TWC Requisition equipment, materials and supplies
- Provide services in an unbiased fashion to all adult education programs and report all services and evaluations directly to TWC, GCWB and AED
- Assist in maintaining records required by ESC, HGAC, BVCOG and TWC · Assist with ESC, 6 Adult Education program activities and personnel assigned

- Serve as the point of contact for workforce personnel, AEL providers and career navigators in all aspects related to the adult education department
- Review current career models related to construction being implemented within the identified AEL Programs across the state
- Provide contextualized training for all identified programs based on evaluations and needs assessments
- Provide, facilitate, or recommend training in the implementation of Integrated Education and Training, Career Pathways, Academy models, Instructional Coaching and the Texas AEL Content Standards
