Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree and valid Texas teaching certificate
- Completion of Reading Academy or STR certification
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Knowledge of core academic subjects and instructional strategies
- A positive attitude and passion for working with children
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with district curriculum
- Support the learning needs of all students, including those with IEPs
- Create a safe, structured, and welcoming classroom environment
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Communicate regularly with parents, students, and staff
- Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development
- May supervise instructional aides
- Requires standing, walking, and light lifting
- Must be able to manage a busy, active classroom environment
