Position Summary:
The Secondary Science Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging instruction and learning activities that support students’ academic and personal development. The teacher will help students build knowledge, critical thinking skills, and scientific understanding necessary for success.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Valid Texas Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsements, or eligibility under the District of Innovation (DOI) Plan
  • Knowledge of curriculum and instructional methods
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and Texas Education Agency guidelines
  • Use instructional strategies that address different learning styles and student needs
  • Assess student progress through formal and informal evaluations
  • Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
  • Participate in professional development and school activities

Work Environment:
  • Classroom setting with prolonged standing and frequent walking
  • May require light lifting of instructional materials
  • Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
