District Receptionist
JOB DESCRIPTION
REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent
ROLE AND PURPOSE: Organize, manage routine work activities, ensure efficient operation of designated administrative office and provide clerical services to administrators.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent Special Knowledge/Skills: Proficient typing, word processing, and file maintenance skills Effective organizational, communication and interpersonal skills Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, data bases, word processing and charts. Knowledge of basic accounting principles
Experience: One to three years of secretarial experience, preferably in public education environment
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:- Exercise good telephone etiquette; receive incoming calls and route to appropriate staff.
- Control and monitor the entry door intercom system; greet guests, announcing then directing them to the appropriate staff and/or department.
- Maintain physical and computerized departmental files as needed.
- Assist in drug testing procedures.
- Update handbooks, manuals, and other documents as assigned.
- Assist district personnel when needed with postage and/or copies.
- Send cards or flowers to employees with extended illness or death in the family.
- Send birthday greetings to employees.
- Care for and maintain the foyer/front office area such as water plants, make coffee, fill refrigerator etc.
- Take student and staff picture ID’s for the district.
- Box used cartridge toners and ship to appropriate company.
- Sort and distribute incoming deliveries as needed.
- Oversee and assist with the upkeep and use of the office equipment (ID, laminating machine, etc.).
- Assist with facility request forms. Route paperwork to appropriate personnel. Maintain database on usage of facilities.
- Register and make overnight travel arrangements for staff for trainings, conferences and meetings.
- Assist Athletic Director with facility forms, purchase orders and calendar events as requested.
- Assist with the preparation of requisitions and/or purchase orders for the Central Office staff.
- Order, maintain, organize and distribute supplies for the Central Office staff as well as for the workroom and kitchen.
- Maintain, order and prepare recruitment materials.
- Update, produce, and maintain the district personnel directory.
- Assist with school board elections as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality of information.
- Other duties as assigned.

ROLE AND PURPOSE: Prepare and serve appropriate quantities of food to meet menu requirements. Maintain high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and safety practices.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Food Preparation and Serving- Prepare quality food according to a planned menu of tested, uniform recipes.
- Serve food according to meal schedules, departmental policies, and procedures.
- Practice and promote portion control and proper use of leftovers.
- Supervise storage and handling of food items and supplies. Maintain a clean and organized storage area.
- Operate tools and equipment according to prescribed safety standards.
- Follow established procedures to meet high standards of cleanliness, health, and safety.
- Keep garbage collection containers and areas neat and sanitary.
- Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately.
- Maintain personal appearance and hygiene.
- Handle and record cashier functions accurately.
- Help record food requisitions and orders necessary supplies.
- Maintain daily food preparation records.
- Promote teamwork and interaction with fellow staff members.

High School SPED Paraprofessional

REPORTS TO: Principal and Teacher(s) Assigned
DEPARTMENT OR CAMPUS: Pre-kindergarten through twelve
ROLE AND PURPOSE The paraprofessional shall work under the supervision of a certified teacher and shall assist the teacher in the preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Certification/Education Experience
At least two years of post secondary education; or a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to demonstrate necessary skills on a formal state or local academic assessment Meet NCLB requirements Texas instructional aide certificate
Special Knowledge/Skills
Ability to work well with children Ability to communicate effectively Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Effective organizational and interpersonal skills
Minimum Experience
Experience working with children preferred Some experience in instructional training preferred

ROLE AND PURPOSE: Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.
