Teacher/Coach - Head Volleyball Coach



Teaching Field: To be Determined 
Coaching Field: Head Volleyball Coach; additional coaching assignments based on experience
Reports to: Campus Principal and Athletic Director

Position Summary
The Teacher/Head Volleyball Coach serves a dual role supporting student success in both academics and athletics. The teaching assignment is to be determined based on district needs, while the primary coaching duty is leading the volleyball program.
This position creates a positive learning environment aligned with standards from the Texas Education Agency and promotes student growth academically, socially, and emotionally. As Head Volleyball Coach, the role emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
The ideal candidate is flexible, student-focused, and committed to contributing to a small rural school community both in the classroom and through extracurricular activities.

Qualifications:Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree and valid Texas teaching certificate
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Knowledge of core academic subjects and instructional strategies
A positive attitude and passion for working with children

Responsibilities and Duties:
Plan and teach  lessons aligned to curriculum
Support the learning needs of all students, including those with IEPs
Create a safe, structured, and welcoming classroom environment
Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
Communicate regularly with parents, students, and staff
Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development

Coaching Duties: 
Serve as Head Volleyball Coach.
Plan, organize, and conduct practices, competitions, and offseason programs.
Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline among student-athletes.
Assist with additional coaching assignments based on experience and district needs.
Follow all UIL rules and district policies related to athletics.
